Sapling is a text version control tool. It runs locally in your browser and stores your writing history on your device. This policy explains what the extension does with your data.

What we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any server operated by the extension developer. The extension runs in your browser. There is no developer-operated backend, analytics, advertising, or tracking. No sale of personal data.

What happens in your browser

Sapling stores your document history locally in the browser's own storage for the Sapling app page.
Your writing and timeline stay on your device.
Nothing is sent to the developer for the core features.

Permissions

The extension declares no special Chrome permissions. It runs as a local web page in the extension sandbox.

Third parties

None. The developer does not send data to third parties. Chrome itself may apply its own policies to extension installation and updates from the Chrome Web Store.

Data retention

There is no developer-held copy of your writing. Your document history is stored in browser storage on your device. Uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data will remove it from Chrome.

Children

This extension is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do.
