d.Construct 2007 Ideas
I attended the d.Construct 2006 conference earlier this year and thought it was good but lacking in certain areas.
Here are some areas that I would like to see covered next year:
-
Usability and user centered design, covering things like: how to run your first test session, practicing simplicity in design (and business), maybe even scratching the surface of cognitive psychology.
-
Findability as in Ambient Findability by Peter Moorville
-
SPARQL "the Query Language of the Web" (about SPARQL on ITConversations). Some crossover with Microformats here perhaps.
-
A brief history of the information age - accounts of how platforms have been developed then failed - lessons for the future that kind of thing.
I haven't thought this through at all, I just wanted to get rid of the 'd.Construct 2007.txt' file that's been on my Desktop for months now.
